I would like to introduce you all to a good friend of mine, MaryJean.
I was introduced to her by a mutual friend Peter Checksfield who I have known for twenty years through our love of Jerry Lee Lewis's music, he became friendly with Jerry Lee's sister Linda Gail who as you all may know is a superb entertainer and performer in her own right after many years on the road with Jerry performing as part of his shows.She decided to get a group together a few years ago and include her two very talented daughters,Annie and MaryJean, Peter struck up a friendship with MaryJean and stayed in touch while she was back in the USA, Maryjean now lives here in the UK and is carving out a solo career for herself.
When I recieved a CD of some stuff MJ had done in early 2006, just her and the piano, i was gobsmacked, such a pure, yet powerful and emotional voice, the vocal range and soulfulness of her voice is the one of the best i have ever heard in my life....and im not just saying that !
The chance arose for us to meet back in July 2006 and after two hours we were in the studio jamming! we set the tape rolling and came out with twelve country songs performed "Our Way" which we released on CD, as we say on the sleeve notes its bare bones country recorded live on the floor...mistakes and all.We had great fun doing it.

Im sure MJ has a great future ahead of her, if you get the chance to see her live you must, the voice is amazing and, despite her telling you otherwise... so is her piano playing......just dont compare her to Uncle Jerry!!!
